Hi I'm Sandy, I Noticed Swelling In My Right Eye

Hi I'm Sandy, I noticed swelling in my right eye earlier but since I have allergies I didn't think much of it and later I notice that it was darkening next to the bridge of my nose, now I have a black eye! Is this serious, or the indication of something serious?
