Hi. I'm A 62 Yr Old Type 2 Diabetic Woman

Hi. I'm a 62 yr old type 2 diabetic woman and only recently started getting pedicures. I go to a reputable spa (not one of those $10 places) but it's expensive to I can't go very often. I went 2 months without removing the polish and when I did, my big toenails were oddly discolored. The color is mostly in the middle, not near the edges. It's yellowish white and look like dried paint. Could the be from the polish? Anything I can do?
