Hi, Im African American And I Have Had This Problem

Hi, Im african american and i have had this problem for years and I am too embarrassed to go to a doctor. On my mons pubis I have gotten bumps there that would raise and discolor my skin turning dark purple. They usually are not filled with anything just non painful hard bumps. Its left scars that wont go away which is my main problem. They vary in size some are big, some small. But they all leave marks. They mostly appear in the crease between my mons pubis and legs. But they have been at the top of hairline below my belly butoon and a couple lower but rarely ever lower than that or near my vulva. Its just right around the sides and middle to top. A couple bumps were due to ingrown hairs but not all because most are not by my hair follicles. I used to shave all the time but now i have stopped bc im hoping that i will stop getting bumps if i do that.
