Hi, I'm Broke Out With Hives Which I Thought Was

Hi, I'm broke out with hives which I thought was an allergic reaction to a cat scan I had done Friday, but now a friend of my granddaughter is here with the same symptoms which started before she came to my house. What can be causing this? Could it possibly be oak mites?
