Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on my situation. I was on Yasmin for a few years and loved it. My periods were always regular, and I didn't experience any side effects. I was forced to switch to the generic Ocella a few months ago though because Yasmin got too expensive.

Since I've been on Ocella, I will occasionally get brown discharge. It ranges in color from light pink to light brown to dark brown with lumps. It is sometimes accompanied by a strange smell. It always goes away on its own, but this week I've experienced the dark brown discharge every day. My breasts have been tender/sore for over a week and my appetite has increased. I took a pregnancy test yesterday, and it came out negative. I've been dizzy when I stand and have an awful headache. I also had normal red blood today and then it quickly turned to light pink/brown.

I am looking for possible explanations. I've already ruled out pregnancy. My boyfriend and I have been in a faithful, committed relationship for over 4 years so there's no way it could be an STD.
