Hi, I'm On The Tailend Of Having The Flu, And

Hi, I'm on the tailend of having the flu, and for the last few days I feel like I can smell bleach/ammonia up my nose. Is this normal, or even likely to have anything to do with the flu or likely to be caused by something different altogether? I'm Female, 36 yrs old, don't drink, am overweight and I do smoke a little.
