Hi. I'm wondering what the best way is to keep sterile water for use with making formula.
My daughter was born 15 weeks premature and is now 13 weeks corrected. She had surgery at just 5 days old to repair a torn intestine.
I normally boil water in stove for 5 mins, let it cool a bit then store in fridge and use within 24 hours.
However, overnight I leave a bottle of sterile water out in case she wakes for a feed. It's then faster to heat and add the formula to it.
Will keeping the sterile water in room temp for a few hours cause bacteria??
