Hi, I'v had epilepsy throughout my life. I first developed it after pre-mature birth and spinal meningitis. Grandma seizures was what my young age dealt with. I eventually grew out of it and at the age of 10(1983) was found that I wasn't in need of medicine anymore after no seizures for distance of time. Next, at the age of 25 (1998) epilepsy began to occur again. blackouts to peti mal are what was treated and in 2005 discovered they only occurred while sleeping. I now have been seizure free for 2 1/2 years after finding the right combo of medications I take. My QUESTION is How can I be tested to see if epilepsy has possibly gone away. Also, I now take 3 medications and my LAST QUESTION is to find out if there are any bad long term health care side effects. I thank you in advance so much for any reply.
