Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I've been taking aspirin for about a year due to an angina attack I had last year. Back in December I was diagnosed with gastritis due to the aspirin, however that medication wasn't discontinued. I was prescribed omeprazole. For the past three days I have been feeling a dull pain in my upper left abdomen, around the opening of the stomach. At the hospital they ran a blood test and gave me a full abdomen ultrasound. They've ruled out any gallbladder or liver problems. This morning I went to a gastroenterologist and he told me that I have gastritis again, but this pain is just sharper than when I initially had it in December. I now take pantoprazole. Please help. Should I change my diet? What should I do?
