Hi I've Developed A Red Sore That Looks Like A

Hi I've developed a red sore that looks like a cut in between my third and fourth toes. It is quite sore and appeared out of no where. Prior to this that area was itching with flaking skin. I've been applying band aids with polysporin for the past few days as well as doing my best to keep the area dry and clean. Is this sufficient treatment or should I try anti fungal cream?
