Hi. Last Night While Having Sex My Wife And I

Hi. Last night while having sex my wife and I noticed she was very dry but decided to just keep going . I felt some pain by my penus but thought it was just dry. After retracting it there was lots of blood and I found the thin string that attaches the foreskin right at the tip of the penus had torn from there and come down maybe quarter inch. Apparently from the rip it ripped a little into my penus to and thats where it was bleeding out of. Is this something to worry about or how do I know if treatment is needed?
