Hi, Lately I Have Been Experiencing A Minty, Menthol Sensation

Hi, Lately I have been experiencing a minty, menthol sensation in my throat. I recently cut out coffee, chocolate and alcohol in case it's acid reflux related. I looked on line about throat cancers and espohigal cancers and I dont really have any of those symptoms. I have taken heartburn meds before to see if it helps, but I'm beginning to think that this might be all caused by anxiety if that's possible. I really don't know what to make of it. Any ideas? Does this sound serious to you? I'm 50 year old male, non smoker, light drinker, in very good shape ( I participated in 2 mens physique shows in 2015).
