Hi. My 12-year-old Son Hit His Scrotum With His Tennis

Hi. My 12-year-old son hit his scrotum with his tennis racquet today and it broke the skin, making an abrasion with very little blood around the size of a nickel. We put some neosporin on and had him sit with no pants or underwear to allow the scrape to dry. What do you suggest? And what can he do when he has to get dressed and go out? A sterile gauze? Obviously no bandage will cover it. Thanks
