Hi, My 14 Year Old Daughter Has A Fever Of

Hi, My 14 year old daughter has a fever of 102. She says here head and her throat hurt, which are the same symptoms she's had for about a week. i took her to the doctor on Wednesday and the doctor said it was just a cold, not strep throat. Any ideas now on what it may be?
