Hi My 3.5 Year Old Daughter Is Having Recurring Fever

Hi My 3.5 year old daughter is having recurring fever along with dry cough. We have been giving calpol 250 for past 3 days, my query is how long we can continue this, second the dosage prescribed for her is 4ml every 6 hours but then within completion of 5th hour the temperature is back ..the temperature is more pertinent in night along with heavy coughing. Please advice
