Hi, My Big Toe On My Left Foot Feels Uncharacteristically

My big toe on my left foot feels uncharacteristically weird. It feels somewhat squishy to the touch including the nail and even the nailbed seems to have taken on a more curved shape than its normal flat appearance. Squishy feeling is particularly in the area where the nail meets the cuticle as opposed to the edge (where you cut with nailclip)
