Hi, My Black Lab Got Hit By A Car Last

Hi, My black lab got hit by a car last night, no broken bones, or fractured that they can see of, but they said that she has a brain injury, they are treating her for swelling of the brain, she cannot sit up right yet or stand on her own but she did eat a little bit today and drank water, is that a good sign of recovery? Do they recover fully and how long would you say a full recovery will take? They also told me last night after it happened that her eyes were twitching a moving around alot, but today they told me it is under control and she is not deteriorating but she is responding to the meds , and is getting better.
