My daughter had a seizure at the age of three, we did several tests on her and doctors found her to have epilepsy. She has been recommended levipil syrup forthe duration of three years. She has never had another attack since then. She has just turned 7yrs, and her three year medication course is also going to be complete. The Doctor recommended for an MRI test, a sleep deprived test..and so and so...
and said that if she was not totally cured levipil will be continued, otherwise stopped.
Problem is that I'm very worried and scared that if we discontinue the medicine what if the problem comes back. Is there any further treatment or any other way to make sure she is totally cured?
Another question that i have is, does the syrup levipil dull the brain? My daughter is not at all good in studies, she can't concentrate or say doesn't want to concentrate in studies. We never pressurise her.
