Hi My Father Is Suffering From Paralysis From 4yrs. His

My father is suffering from paralysis from 4yrs.
His left side of the body was paralysedpost which he is on continous physiotherapy sessions at home.
But his sleep is not in a systematic order.
For eg certain days in a week he feels very dull and seems very sleepy and whole day he will be sleeping apart from the time we wake him up for food.
And in other days he sleeps for 12hrs...
Is it a common sequence in such conditions??
I am very worried to see my dad like that where he is a jovial person nw completely bed ridden.
Why there is no medicine that can cure paralysis completely....
