Hi. My Husband Has Had What He Thought To Be

Hi. My husband has had what he thought to be a hemroid for about 2 weeks now. While on vacation this past week he noticed 2 . One on Thursday had ruptured and is still bleeding to the point where it has bleed through his clothing. Not gushing but definitely quite a bit. He's extremely reluctant to go to our family physician due to the uncomfortableness of the location. Is this something i should just force him to have checked out or does this seem normal for hemroid symptoms? !
