Hi My Mane Is Christopher Hooper And I Am Concerned

Hi My mane is Christopher Hooper and I am concerned with what happened about a month ago and would like to know if I have anything to worry about.
Recently we installed 2 new battery's into our caravan and one was faulty and leaked a foul and strong smell.
we spent 2 nights with this strong smell and now we have sore throat's and don't feel quiet right health wise.
