Hi, My mom is 74 years old and had a hemorrhagic stroke in late april this year. The hemorrhage volume is 2.5cm. She had movement impairment on her left side. With her ongoing rehab, she can now move around with walker. A month ago, she began to had edema on her left foot and ankle. Edema got better after she massaged the local area. Recently edema began to appear on her left knee. I am wondering if it is DVT? If it is DVT, can she have blood thinner, given the condition that she had a hemorrhagic stroke?
