Hi, My Mother Was Diagnosed With Pancreatitis A Couple Of

Hi, My mother was diagnosed with pancreatitis a couple of weeks ago (in Montreal). She was told to rest and take it easy which is what she had been doing however, she was scheduled to go to Florida for the winter so she is now there (with my father). She appeared to be feeling better but the last few days she is feeling the same stomach pains. She also has a lessened appetite. Can you please explain the nature of this disease and what is the typical duration?
