Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My name is Kayla and I am 15 years old. I have severe scoliosis and had a spinal fusion when I was 12. There were complications with the surgery because my bones were too green at that young age and the doctor ended up having to fuse my spine the way it was (My scoliosis was the corkscrew effect) I still have immense pain to this day, and am extremely unhappy with my appearance. My question is, is it possible for a doctor to remove the rods from my spine so that they can try to better fix the curvature, then place new rods in?
