Hi My Name Is Ashish..the Question Is For My Mother

Hi
My name is ashish..the question is for my mother sir. She has diagnosed with carpel tunnel syndrom in right wrist and has severe artheritis as well. Her age is 68 yrs. She has recently develop swelling in left feet. Her all serum test are fine except uric acid level which is 7.6. While the medication is on for CTS the doc has adviced febujet 80 mg to reduce gout n uric acid higher level. My concern is dat by taking medicine the chance of joint pains will increase as this is one of the side effect. She is already in pain due to cts and arthritis and giving febujet will further increase the jount pains although it will decrease uric acid level. Its has both pros n cons for patient.
Pls suggest are we heading right direction.

Rgds...Ashish
