Hi. Over this last winter, I skinned (hiked in my ski boots) quite a bit. My left leg is dominant, and my left shin was constantly being bruised against the front of my boot. Towards the end of the season, I developed a lump on my left shin, just above my ankle. It seems to get hot and tight when there is swelling in my body (ie drinking or not enough sleep) and also is aggravated if I rub it, which I tried for about a week consistently after I first noticed it. Now, it has been over a month and the lump is still very present. Could it be scar tissue? A raised bruise? Thank you for your input.
