So I recently started on spironolactone 25mg twice a day for my acne. I just finished the first month and started to notice a rash on my neck. I tried HC cream 1% with no success. I kept taking the medication as several people indicated that they experienced such complications - but it worsened. It was thick, red, warm et raised- it kept me from sleeping. I stopped taking it et it has subsided but the skin is still thick et rough. Is this normal? Should I continue on the medication et try to add an antihistamine (preferably non-drowsy) or is there another medication I can try that will keep the hormones at bay?
