Hi!! Staph Was Found In My Urine And The Doctor

Hi!! Staph was found in my urine and the doctor gave me ciprofloxacin but I have been scared to use it and I also read about it on the internet n i didn't like what i saw. So a doctor friend advised I take augmentin 625mg for 7days. . I haven't taken it either so I want to know which is safe to take or is there something else I can take ?
