Hi , This Has Started Happening Every Couple Of Months

This has started happening every couple of months this year. My upper inner eyelid feels like there's sand in it so when I went to the bathroom to flip my eyelid and see if there might've been a fallen eyelash, there was a stringy rubbery "string" of sorts, and it was loose, thinking it was dust , I took a wet Q-tip and pulled it out only to feel and see it actually peeling off my upper inner eyelid, and then my eye didn't feel so irritated. But now it won't go away and when I went to see a doctor he brushed it off as conjunctivitis and gave me antibiotic drops, which DID NOT help.
