Hi. This Is Probably Not A Serious Problem But More

Hi. This is probably not a serious problem but more of an irritation. In the last year or so my finger nails have been thinning. They are splitting with the split running up pass the quick. It can be very painful. I try to keep my nails very short to keep the splitting to a minimum. I have tried different hand lotions thinking that the nails where drying out. I am a 65 year old female. Thank you for any advice you can give.
