Hi:
This is regarding to a medical condition I had last year
(2015) after mowing the lawn. Before this happened, I was
diagnosed with hypothyroidism and myxedema coma the year
before (2014), and I don't know if this medical condition
has any association with hypothyroidism and myxedema coma.
Last year after I mowed the lawn for some time, I felt
tired and went inside to have some rest. However I didn't
feel better and even felt more tired so I went to sit down
for a while. Then I felt a bit like going to vomit or have
bowel elimination, but these didn't happen.
Then all of a sudden, I started to have some kind of very
uncomfortable feeling. I probably had a little bit of
shortness of breath but I am not sure about that. Also I
probably felt a little bit dizzy, but the dizziness was not
like the usual regular dizziness or headache of the head.
However my left hand just started touching my heart even
if I didn't feel any pain with my heart. Also my right arm
was raising up with my right hand pointing upwards and also
my head and eyes were also facing upwards. Then I was trying
very hard to keep myself awake, because I was feeling like
almost going to pass out. Which was very uncomfortable to
the point that I even had a sense of feeling of if I was at
the edge of death.
When I finally got to the hospital, I was still having this
very uncomfortable feeling of almost going to pass out for
quite some time. After a while, this feeling was gradually
going away. The whole time this feeling lasted was probably
about 30-60 minutes. Then the doctors did some examinations
on my body and they said I didn't have any problem with my
heart and my lungs. They said the reason that it caused me
to feel like almost going to pass out was probably due to
vertigo.
Based on the information above, please provide some feedback
and opinions about whether vertigo is the cause. If yes, could
vertigo be fatal, and if it's possible that it's going to happen
again. If vertigo is not the cause, then what could be the
cause that made me to feel like almost going to pass out? Thank
you.
