Hi A Friend Suffered An Ankle Ligament Injury At The

Hi a friend suffered an ankle ligament injury at the weekend, and as far as I can make out she is still applying ice to the site. I thought that icing the injury is only advised for the first 12 hours, after which it was counter productive. Grateful if you could confirm the correct treatment.
