Hi, About 10 Yrs Ago I Had An Enlarged Bile

Hi, about 10 yrs ago I had an enlarged bile duct, eventually I started having pain on my left side just under my bottom rib. After an ultrasound and a gastroscope, a gastroentrologist. did an ERCP. I never did find out the results of the ERCP, but the Dr. did tell me he cleaned out the bile duct. The pain went away. Now, I'm having the same type of pain, that starts soon after eating. My primary care Dr. says the pain is on the wrong side. I have an ultrasound scheduled a few weeks from now. Is pain on the left side common with this sort of thing or am I just weird? Thanks
