Hi About 5 Weeks Ago I Had A Very Heavy

Hi about 5 weeks ago I had a very heavy period and lots of fleshy like substance was coming out of me. The bleeding was constant for about 6 hours. I haven't really stopped bleeding since even though it has been very light. I have just started bleeding again and another fleshy lump came out. Can you explain this.

The same thing happened about 3 years ago. Is this normal?

My periods are usual very light. I am going to be 40 next year.
