Hi About A Month Ago I Noticed An Extremely Large

Hi about a month ago I noticed an extremely large bruise on the back of my calf, about the size of a mango. It was severely discoloured. I have kept an eye on the bruising which has subsided, however, I have noticed that there is a a firm lump right in the middle of where the bruise was. It is about the size of a cherry tomato. My mothers first thought was a blood clot, but she told me to just wait and see if it goes down, that was a week ago. It has slightly minimized in size, but not very much. I am starting to get concerned. Should I book in with a GP or go straight to the hospital?
