Hi And Thank You So Much. I Tore My Meniscus

Hi and thank you so much. I tore my meniscus in March, 2016 and had a series of gel shots in June, 2016 with a 3 month relief of pain. I just had surgery on December 13, 2016 and gel shots beginning this week are being recommended by Dr. but my physical therapist is recommending that I not do them unless I am considering a knee replacement. So my question is should you do gel shots approximately one month after meniscus surgery?
