Hi Baby Is 5 Months Old And 4 Days Ago

Hi baby is 5 months old and 4 days ago diagnosed with amoebiasis. He is 3 days on metronidazole when developed itchy rash like insect bites and swelling of ears. Anti allergy syrup given but baby still has rash and loose stools. Please suggest what is best to do, if we are to continue the antibiotic for amoeba or what is alternative? Doctor has stopped it and gives only antihistamine but how is the amoeba to be treated
