Hi Doctor, I Engaged In Protected Sexual Activity With A
Hi doctor, I engaged in protected sexual activity with a sex worker 1 month ago. I did use a condom and there was no exchange of bodily fluids. There was slight oral sex performed on me for 2 mins and I proceeded to perform oral sex for a couple of seconds. After 2 weeks I developed a fever for 3 days (1 days high fever of 39.1 celcius and the other 2 days were mild). Only my right lymph node in the neck was swollen. I had no difficulty in swallowing or breathing. The swelling in my right lymph node completely disappeared but transferred to my left lymph node. The swelling in my right lymph node lasted for 3 days and after that it disappeared. The swelling in my left lymph node lasted for 2 days. During this time I developed a sore throat only on one side of my throat (right side which was initially swollen) which lasted for 2 days as well. I had 2 episodes of nights sweats 2 days apart from each other during which I did have a fever. I went to my doctor ( 4 days after these symptoms) who prescribed amoxcilin. I am feeling fine now. However, I do feel a slight irregularity where my left lymph node is. There is no pain to touch it and I can move it with my finger. What are my chances of HIV?
