Hi Doctor, I Have 2 Longitudinal Melanonychia In My Right

Hi doctor,

I have 2 longitudinal melanonychia in my right hand (dominant hand), two infected fingers are thumb and the third finger. And they developed one after another. The first one I found in third finger was in July last year, and then a year after, I got another one in thumb this year. I've got them checked by dermatologist twice, they said they're 100% benign and nothing need to worry about. It seems the other one is developing in my index finger now, I have a concern since I developed 3 lines within a year.

Here is my background:
24 year old female, Asian, tanned skin color. LMs condition: light greyish 0.5mm line in third finger and 1mm in thumb, both uniform. the one in thumb(developed later) is lighter than the one in third finger

My questions are:
1. Is there any ways that can help to prevent getting more LMs?
2. How could I find out what causes LMs in my case?
3. If I keep getting more LMs, does that means higher risk to have melanoma since I have more conditions in many nails?

Also, the first dermatologist I saw told me I'll get more as I grow older, and there're small chances for them to change to melanoma ; but the second dermatologist said LMs wouldn't stay there forever, they will come and go, and there's no association between benign LMs and melanoma, if they got changed, it means new things grow on it. Who seems more right?

Sorry for the long and many questions, I did some research but I couldn't find answer myself, and it bothers me since I keep getting it. I'm very appreciate of your answer, thank you in advance.
