Hi, For The Past Couple Of Days, The Flap Of

Hi, for the past couple of days, the flap of skin that connects my upper lip to my gum has been very painful on one side, it stings when my tongue touches it and it is very uncomfortable. however when I try to look to see if there is any damage I cant find anything.
