Hi, Having Lower Back Pain Also Urinating Often I'm Diabetic

Hi, having lower back pain also urinating often i'm diabetic could this be a bladder or urinary tract infection? Drinking lots of water and cranberry juice. Using a heating pad. Should i be using ice instead? The pain radiates from back to around waist. Sometimes a short burst of pain is this normal. I do exercise for my knees. Tried new stretches this week also. I don't know if i just irriated my back?
