Hi I Came Down With What I Could Only Describe

Hi i came down with what i could only describe as food poisoning which left me with diarrhea,stomach ache and cramp and occasional sweats. I visited the pharmacy and was given imodium and acidophilus as im on holiday in indonesia. Upon feeling better i still have this discomfort in my lower chest area when i swallow..kind of like pressure. Could this be trapped gas?
