Hi I Had A Insect Bite That Had Been Infected.

Hi i had a insect bite that had been infected. I've been in a walk in centre on monday to see a nurse. She said it was infected and gave me flucoxacillin antibiotics and put a hydrocolloid dressing on it.

On Wednesday i was able to see my gp and she took the hydrocolloid dressing off saying i can just put a normal plaster on the wound. Then last night as i took the plaster she had put on to change in to a new one. It began to bleed and pulse a bit. So i used cotton bud on warm salt water and then used normal warm water to clean the area before putting new plaster on.

Tonight when i can to change the plaster the wound began to pulse a bit before bleeding a little with see through pulse. when i dabbed it with tissue. It has stopped after washed it with warm water. It is bit bleeding but can see a white layer forming i don't know is it new skin or pulse forming. I just put a plaster on as didn't know if put antiseptic cream as well it will make it pulse again.

I was wondering is the wound healing or still infected?
