Hi I Have Cervical Cancer And Was Supposed To Get

Hi i have cervical cancer and was supposed to get a cancer hysterectomy today....when i went into the hospital.
.afterwards my Dr. told me that it had spread some on one side of my cervix...she said she couldn't do the hysterectomy and that i needed chemo and radiation....i asker her why but didnt understand it...is this normal or right? I thought i was getting it out of me today..
