Hi I Have Extended Periods This Time. Its Been 15

Hi i have extended periods this time. Its been 15 days now and flow is excess.
I get it checked with a gynaecologist and she asked me to get tests done as there could only be 2 reasons such as PCOS or missed pregnancy.
Please recommend if she is treating in the right manner or not
