Hi, I Have Suddenly Had An Outbreak Of A Cold

Hi, i have suddenly had an outbreak of a cold sore on my lip....there was no tingling symptoms, just dry lips. I have had it before but a year or 2 ago. Other than Zovirax, is there a quicker way of healing?? I'm off on a trip in 4 days, and its ghastly. Thanks
