Hi I Was Just Diagnosed With Tonsilitis And Prescribed Amox-cly

Hi i was just diagnosed with tonsilitis and prescribed amox-cly for 10 days. How long will i be contagious for? I am suppose to have dinner with my nephew his pregnant wife and their baby on Saturday.
Also he said it was too soon to tell if I had strep throat. could you have both tonsilitis and strep throat? when will i not be contagious
