Hi, I'm 52 And Fell Off The Top Of A

Hi, i'm 52 and fell off the top of a six foot ladder. Hit lower back on wooden TV rack before hitting floor. It's been 2 weeks now. I can work if now if I wear a back brace (with added tennis ball pressing on spot). But, Stiil have sudden SHARP pain when i move a certain way (without brace). Lasts 5 seconds then goes away. Pain shoots out of lower spine. If this is a fracture, will this heal on it's own eventually? (like a rib?)
