Hi , Im A Diabetic And Taking Diamicron , Recently

Hi , im a diabetic and taking diamicron , recently when i went for medical check up my doctor gave Cardiace tablet, (my ECG , Echo and TMT teat result normal but my BP soots to 146/90) i understood from a website it says that Cardiace cannot be taken with Diamicron , as it may cause side effect , is it true ....please explain thanks in advance
