Hi, It Is My Second Time Using A Tampon. I

Hi, it is my second time using a tampon. I am 14. My flow was very heavy today so I had to use a tampon. I knew my tampon was full because a bit of blood leaked onto my pantyliner and the string had some blood on it. When I was taking it out, it hurt like crazy. I put it at an angle and everything. I was using light (this was earlier today). The light didn't last long so I decided to wear regular. It is full as well but I'm scared to take it out. I'm worried that it will hurt even more because it's regular not light. Any tips to make it not hurt?
